El Sandia Presidente
“El Presidente” was a very popular cocktail during Prohibition. It was a tribute to Gerardo Machado, the Cuban Presidente. The original recipe is made of grenadine. Here is a cool and subtle twist.






Ingredients
5cl Cuban white Rum
3cl Vermouth Routin Dry
1cl 1883 Watermelon syrup
Pour all the ingredients in a mixing glass full of ice. Stir well. Strain in a chilled Martini glass.
Garnish with a squeezed lemon peel and watermelon slice.
